Winter is the loveliest time of the year. Who would ever have thought anyone would say that?!
The “Arlberg” ski region – cradle of alpine skiing
With 280km of perfectly groomed ski runs located at altitudes of 1,280m to 2,800m above sea level, the Arlberg is also renowned for its fabulous off-piste skiing. Thanks to the 85 cable cars and ski lifts, visitors can enjoy the uncrowded winter sports facilities on unrivalled slopes suitable for all abilities.
Lech ski school – tuition of the highest standard
Founded in 1925, Lech ski school teaches children, teenagers and adults, regardless of ability, offering individualised tuition, both privately and in groups, to suit beginners, leisure skiers and adrenaline junkies alike. Brush up your existing ski technique or try out something new, like Telemark or snowboarding. To be sure of your place in the ski school we recommend booking in advance online.
Cross country skiing and winter walking
A winter holiday is not the exclusive domain of skiers and off-piste powder hounds; additional unsung activities include cross-country skiing and winter walking. Enjoy a walk around the Schlössle and up to the rustic Kriegeralpe, or visit the romantic Zuger valley, where the tranquillity and the breathtaking views are a balm for the soul. The Pension Walkerbach is located directly on the footpath from Lech to Stubenbach and the Flühenweg.
sport.park.lech - more activity, more fun
The sport.park.lech offers the perfect complement to winter snow sports. Whether you prefer challenging athletic activities or just a bit of fun, this is all about stamina, dynamism, energy, revitalisation and enjoyment. Lech children’s club
Lech children’s club offers really small children their first encounter with snow and skiing in an entertaining way by means of playtime fun. The children (3 to 4 ½ years of age) can familiarise themselves with ski equipment and snow in a relaxed, light-hearted way, making the subsequent transition to the ski school much easier. The daily programme is carefully structured, combining as much freedom of movement as possible, with approx. 2 hours spent skiing, alongside time for playing and a well-balanced programme of entertainment. The Lech children’s club is easily accessible on the village bus.
